Loctite Dri-Loc® Products

How does it work?

Loctite Dri-Loc® is a dry coating adhesive that contains a micro-encapsulated activator that is suspended in a water based resin. The Dri-Loc® is applied to the bolt and remains inert and dry to touch until the bolt is used. The shearing forces caused by the insertion of the fastener crushes the micro-spheres and releases the activator to mix with the resin. The resultant anaerobic chemical reaction forms a polymer dispersion which rapidly bonds the fastener and its mating part, locking the parts together.

Pre-Applied Technologies Ltd can offer Loctite Dri-Loc® products including 211, 2015, 2040, 2045.

Dri-Loc® 211

Loctite Dri-Loc® dry-to-touch coatings contain microcapsules which crush during assembly, releasing an active ingredient, which starts the curing process. The adhesive expands into the threads, filling all the voids thus locking and sealing the assembly. Dri-Loc® 211 is a general purpose, high strength threadlocking adhesive where high vibration and heat resistance is required. It has good adhesion to all plated surfaces and complies to DIN 267 part 27.

Key Properties

Dri-Loc® 2045

Loctite Dri-Loc® dry-to-touch coatings contain microcapsules which crush during assembly, releasing an active ingredient, which starts the curing process. The adhesive expands into the threads, filling all the voids thus locking and sealing the assembly. Dri-Loc® 2045 is a high strength pre-applied thread locker with good substrate compatibility specially designed to meet the automotive specification requirements. It is suitable for use on plain and passivated metal surfaces. Dri-Loc® 2045 has good hot strength, heat ageing and solvent resistance properties. This product meets the environmental resistance and performance requirements of DIN 267 part 27, GME151 and Ford Worldwide standard WX200 October 1996.
